Focus - Elena explores heritage through sculptural forms and enjoys "going where the clay takes me." Creating from a place of freedom and surrender, she trusts the form will find its own way. Her work is driven by a curiosity about what full creative surrender looks like—and what emerges when the clay is allowed to lead.
Clay Journey - Elena first joined Return to Centre Ceramics Studio through weekly wheel-throwing classes before progressing into the year-long Ceramic Journey Series. Spanning wheel throwing, handbuilding, alternative firing and portfolio development, the program culminated in an end of year group exhibition. She now participates in the Ceramic Mentorship Program, where she continues to deepen her sculptural and wheel thrown forms.
