BIGGER BOWL WORKSHOP 3 HRS 25th of July 9.30 - 12.30

3 hours | $150 | Saturday 25 July | 9.30am–12.30pm | St Kilda

Throw Bigger Bowls with Confidence

If you've reached the point where 1 kg feels comfortable but larger bowls become heavy, lose shape or collapse, this workshop is designed to help bridge that gap.

Working with 1–3 kg of clay (depending on your experience), you'll learn the techniques that create stronger, better-balanced bowl forms. Rather than focusing on simply making a bigger bowl, we'll explore why forms work—developing a deeper understanding of balance, proportion, structure and control that you can apply to all of your throwing.

One of the most valuable parts of the workshop is cutting selected bowls in half to reveal their internal structure. Seeing how the foot, walls and profile relate provides insights that are almost impossible to gain by looking at the finished piece alone.

Only four places are available, allowing plenty of individual guidance throughout the session.
Optional firing: If you'd like to keep one piece, a $20 firing fee applies, including trimming, bisque and glaze firing.

Suitable for: Potters with at least 8 weeks of wheel-throwing
SOLD OUT - Register your interest for the next one.
